Wings Enterprises is a fully permitted iron mine with 38 years of operating history: formerly as Pea Ridge. Today the mine is currently producting specialty iron oxides (+70% Fe, 98% magnetic) and is reopening as a multi-product, value added producer of chemical quality and specialty iron oxides, pig iron, rare earth oxides and other valuable byproducts. Wings will be the only domestic producer for all of these products.

Wings Enterprises will reinstate full production of all Pea Ridge Mine Specialty Products in 2010. The new milling and sizing facilities will be able to meet the quality and sizing requirements for any industrial customer.

 

Contract pricing for 2010 is available today. All pricing will be based on a Mississippi River/Rail Port FOB price, just 30 miles south of St. Louis. For qualifying orders, Wings will offer a 2008 index price. This index price will only be available for LOIs (Letter Of Intent) and contracts negotiated before July 1, 2008. All contracts will have downside protection grantees.

 

Current Production: Wings Enterprises is currently producing 60,000 tons per year of +70% Fe that is +96% magnetic

 

Volume commitments will include FREE SHIPPING to our Mississippi River location, for FOB rail, barge or truck service at this location, just south of St. Louis, Missouri

North East United States and Canada
Average combined reserve life for all of the NE Iron Range, including Canada is approximately 40 years. The reserve quality also continues to decline throughout the N.E. Iron Range as total Fe ore grade continues to fall and while of the best ore is bound by seasonal shipping issues. Source: USGS
